Late Spring Wedding Inspiration

For a late spring wedding, don't be afraid to use touches of color in every aspect of the wedding that you can. A yellow bouquet and shoe is a great compliment to a green bridesmaid dress. Little touches of orange make the yellow and green pop. Try to have your cake match the rest of your wedding, and serve cocktails that mimic the season. For a wedding in the warm spring, serve refreshing mojitos.

D.I.Y. Table Assignments

Here is a natural, inexpensive, and creative idea to display your seating assignment.

All you need is:
  • Large foam board (depending on how many people are attending) you may need more

  • Moss (Real or Fake)

  • Pins (with pin heads that match your color scheme)

  • Ribbon

  • Stapler (to staple on ribbons)

  • Seating assignment tags (that include name and table number). Use paper you would like for the seating assignment. Try and pick a natural paper, like seeded paper, to go along with the natural theme of the moss board. Also cut or buy the tags in any shape you think would suit the reception

  • Craft Glue
Directions: Glue the moss onto the foam board by using the craft glue; make sure there is no white space! Let the moss sit to dry. Once dry, staple the ribbon in any fashion you would like, vertical, horizontal, in a diamond pattern. Next pin the already made tags on the board. It is that simple!

Bridal Jewlery Tips

Deciding what bridal jewelry to wear on your special day is an exciting, fun part of planning your wedding. The possibilities are endless, and everything looks beautiful. From bridal tiaras to combs, hair sticks to earrings and necklace sets.

However, there are a few things you need to keep in mind before you make your final selections. Here are a few quick tips to help.

  • First, you will likely want to wear your engagement ring. Most brides do. Other rings are acceptable. Just make sure they don’t detract from your engagement ring. When your husband-to-be slides your wedding band on your finger, the last thing you’d want is for people to be looking at the gorgeous, but huge, multi-gemmed ring you picked up at Nordstrom and not your engagement ring and wedding band.
  • Second, consider what time of day your reception is at. If your having a day time wedding then the jewelry is usually a little more subdued. If your event is in the evening then you can add more sparkle to glimmer under the lights while you dance.
  • Next, when choosing other accessories for your bridal jewelry, you want to keep in mind the color of your gown. Whatever you choose should coordinate with your gown and not compete with it. You don’t want to wear jewelry that overpowers your wedding dress and takes attention away from it. Other considerations when picking out your bridal jewelry are your skin tone and hair color.
  • Another tip is to add personal touches with jewelry such as wearing something sentimental which can be your something old or something borrowed if your wearing something that belongs to your mother or grandmother.
  • Bring a few hair accessories with you when your getting your hair & make-up trial. Also don't forget to bring your accessories to your first fitting so you can decide what looks best and still have time to look for something else if your not pleased with your accessories.

The Latte color is so beautiful for fall weddings and can go with cranberry, burnt orange, dark brown, Ivory, sage green, and light blue. There are many options to choose from and here are some ideas. I love that food can play an integral part of the color scheme. Latte compliments almost any skin tone too.
