Traditional Persian Wedding

We just got these beautiful pictures from Sareh and Ali's Wedding. This is a traditional Persian wedding with all the trimmings. An elaborate, detailed decor that is just so chic we had to share it with you. Thank you Sareh and Ali for sharing these pictures of your decadent event. The decor is called Sofreh-ye Aghd and is traditionally passed from mother to daughter (occasionally Son). The spread is made of luxurious fabrics, the mirror and two candelabras are symbols of light and fire (man & woman), decorated eggs symbolize fertility, and the couple should be facing the light symbolizing their bright future together. It sounds so interesting, we just love the symbolism.
