The Snippets on Etsy!

When I look for material to blog about, I always turn to Etsy, my favorite website. Generally, everything on this website is handmade, which is what I love about it! I was looking for wedding cake toppers on Etsy a couple months ago, and I came across this amazing vendor, The SnipPets. First of all, not only are their cake figurines adorable, they are also made with lots of love by Carrie in Lexington, Kentucky! The SnipPets is a company devoted to the awareness of spay and neuturing pets! Here is their definition of a SnipPet;

What exactly IS a SnipPet?It's simple. A snip~pet is...

1-PET art created with SNIPS of paper, paint and clay.

2-a PET that has been spayed or neutered...the kindest SNIP of all! Make sure YOUR pet is a SnipPet...it is the only way to stop pet overpopulation and the consequent euthansasia of millions of healthy, adoptable cats and dogs EVERY year!

Carrie custom made these toppers just for me! I sent her a couple inspirational pictures and she knew exactly what I wanted. Take a peak at some of her other cute stuff! (The first one is the one she customized for me!)

They design all shapes, sizes, colors, and variations of cakes you can imagine. These gorgeous cakes would definately add a unique touch to your wedding! Wedding Cake Eating Contest

Palermo Bakery in Ridgfield Park NJ was such a hit with the crowd. Call 201.641.1654 to make an appointment for a tasting of their delicious and beautiful cakes

The Papermill Playhouse hosted the "What Would You Do for Cash?" event. Exquisite Bride was excited to take part in the events. We brought over a Wedding Cake from Palermo's Bakery in Ridgefield Park and challenged who ever wanted to try and finish eating a huge peice of wedding cake! Who ever finished eating all the cake first won a cash prize of $100. It was so much fun and the cake was a huge hit too. We gave out peices of cake to everyone.

Wedding Cake Alternatives

Top Row by Vanilla Bakeshop, Second Row by Rebecca Thuss, Third Row by Rebecca Thuss and Red Ribbon Studio, Fourth Row by Taste

I love cake, cookies, cupcakes and candy....yummy! Soo when I saw this elegant post on Style Me Pretty I wanted to let you know, it's ok to have a decadent selection of sweets to choose from other than a grande wedding cake. You can tie in your favorite color to your favorite candy and have a visually pleasing dessert bar. Incorporate your flowers to the area and you can add to your look. If you are not doing a wedding ake, you really have to go all out and have a substantial dessert selection for your guests. An array of fresh baked pies, a selection of great Italian pastries, a hodge podge of miniature cakes in your favorite flavors. Something that guests with a sweet tooth can really look forward to!
